Sustainable Compound Program

The Sustainable Compound Program focuses on the development of novel, sustainable bioactive compounds — such as dissolved organic matter (DOM) and other yet-to-be-identified materials — that can serve as eco-friendly alternatives to harmful substances. Through multidisciplinary collaboration, the initiative seeks to discover, characterize, and assess new bioactive materials for potential applications while evaluating their environmental impact. Its broader goal is to contribute to worldwide efforts to mitigate climate change, conserve natural resources, and protect the environment.
