Global Society Institute Germany
The Global Society Institute Germany — based in the Wälderhaus in Hamburg — is an academic institution committed to fostering a global society founded on sustainable development. Through education and community-building, it helps shape a shared identity of global citizenship. The institute brings together 12 organisations, 62 members, 19 projects, and over 100 students.

Global Society Institute Spain
The Global Society Institute Spain — located in the “White House” in Tarifa — serves as an academic hub dedicated to promoting sustainable global development. It works to build bridges between communities and foster a sense of global society through education and cross-cultural exchange. The institute connects 12 organisations, 62 members, 19 projects, and more than 100 students.

Global Society News (GSN)
Global Society News provides insight into ongoing developments by individuals and organisations engaged in advancing the global goals. It fosters civil-society connectivity and intercultural dialogue by sharing stories, developments, and perspectives from around the world.
GSN reaches about 60,000 readers per month and achieves around 240,000 page views across all continents.

Bio Intelligence Competence Center
The Bio Intelligence Competence Center is a multidisciplinary hub dedicated to building bio-inspired system architectures and promoting sustainable resource management. By integrating knowledge from engineering, biology, information science, nutrition, architecture and related disciplines, it seeks to drive systemic change — advancing sustainable industrial transformation and supporting sustainable lifestyles.
The initiative brings together 40+ members, 20+ institutions, and has produced over 30 publications and more than 20 projects.

AI Screening Hub
The AI Screening Hub harnesses artificial intelligence and interdisciplinary collaboration to accelerate the discovery of sustainable drug compounds, supporting innovation in health and well-being. Through advanced AI-assisted analytics, the initiative aims to make drug discovery faster, more efficient, and more sustainable — contributing to improved global health.
Strategic alignment: SDG 3, SDG 9; Horizon Europe – Cluster 1 (Health); EU Pharmaceutical Strategy.
Invasive Species Forum
The Invasive Species Forum is a collaborative alliance of scientists and policymakers focused on managing invasive species across the western Mediterranean. It addresses the environmental, political, and economic impacts of biological invasions and offers its expertise to regional and national authorities. Although the initiative was triggered by a specific invasive alga on the Spanish coast, its work has a transnational dimension — highlighting the need for coordinated, cross-border ecological action.

Sustainable Compound Program
The Sustainable Compound Program focuses on the development of novel, sustainable bioactive compounds — such as dissolved organic matter (DOM) and other yet-to-be-identified materials — that can serve as eco-friendly alternatives to harmful substances. Through multidisciplinary collaboration, the initiative seeks to discover, characterize, and assess new bioactive materials for potential applications while evaluating their environmental impact. Its broader goal is to contribute to worldwide efforts to mitigate climate change, conserve natural resources, and protect the environment.

AI Manipulation Sensitivity Campaign
In an era where artificial intelligence is deeply integrated into daily life, the “AI Manipulation Sensitivity Campaign” raises awareness about AI-based manipulation of public opinion and individual decision-making. Through research and education, it analyses strategies employed by state and non-state actors who use big-data profiling and AI technologies to influence behavior. The initiative develops awareness-raising campaigns targeted at governments, educational institutions, and civil society, aiming to empower individuals to protect their autonomy and promote responsible use of technology.

De-Polarization Concepts in Social Media
The “De-Polarization Concepts in Social Media” initiative explores the causes and dynamics of polarization in social media, and develops strategies to reduce it. By investigating contributing factors, creating intervention methods, promoting positive online interactions, and assessing their impact, the initiative aims to foster more constructive, less divisive digital communication. Collaboration with social-media platforms is also part of its scope.

Power of Women Conference
The Power of Women Conference is an international initiative partnered with OSEGS that champions balanced leadership, inclusion, and well-being as key foundations for fair and equitable governance. Through this collaboration, the initiative aims to strengthen meaningful participation in decision-making spaces and to advance shared values of connection, peace, and sustainable development—particularly within global processes such as G20 and COP. The Power of Women Conference works across sectors to build a global society committed to positive societal transformation. Using music, media, and creative engagement, the initiative seeks to inspire action, encourage collaboration, and amplify diverse perspectives. Its broader mission is to foster collective efforts that contribute to peace, well-being, and a healthier, more sustainable planet.
